The applicant is requesting approval of an eight-foot conditional use fence located at 1455 North Sierra Way.
This is a conditional use because all fences greater than six feet in height require a conditional use permit. The eight-foot fence is desired to be installed surrounding the property. The applicant’s narrative states that this fence is to alleviate privacy concerns as the home behind the applicant is graded higher, and also protection from high winds.
Conditional Use applications are administrative items. Meaning if they meet the Code they must be approved. However the Commission can put reasonable conditions. The most helpful comments should be focused on potential negative impacts and reasonable conditions.
