    The proposed amendment clarifies that civic institutional signs for entities such as schools or churches do not go to Planning Commission solely for being a civic institutional sign. However, they are still required to go to Planning Commission as a conditional use if they are pylon signs, marquees, or have more than 50 square feet of electronic display.
