A commercial development will be going into the area. Currently, the only project approved for the area is a vet clinic, which is what has started construction. The rest of the area will develop over time, but nothing official has been submitted to the City yet. 

Pedestrian ramps at intersections along 2600 N are being corrected to meet standards. Crews will be reinstalling them between Wed 8/13 and Fri 8/15 this week and may have some to finish next week as well. Children should carefully walk around these areas until they are complete. Crossing guards will be in their usual positions to help kids cross.

Crews will be milling and overlaying the asphalt surface on 2600 N between Sunset Dr and 300 W starting on Mon 8/19 and should be finished by the end of the week. Children should be careful to stay out of the roadway and away from equipment. Parents should consider walking with their kids, or designate one parent to walk all of the neighborhoods kids. They might also consider driving their kids to the end of the construction area.

Yes, that is a project called Sky View West Anchor. 

The work at Center St and Timpanogos Hwy will be completed this coming week with the north leg of the intersection fully opened. All that remains is configuring the traffic signal controller and activating the new signal components. This will give much needed relief to Viewpoint Middle School traffic with school starting on August 13th.

The initial difficultly was coming to agreement about what should be done and who would pay for what between DR Horton, Lehi City, and UDOT. An agreement was finally reached and DR Horton selected a separate contractor to do the north side of Timpanogos Hwy  and one to do the south side in June of 2024. The intent was for all the work to be completed before school started in August 2024. 

However, there are two large aqueducts on the south side of Timpanogos Hwy for which we needed permits to do work in their easements. The one south of the commuter lanes came easily but the one between the commuter lanes and Timpanogos Hwy proper did not. There were long waiting times in getting responses and they required design changes. These delays caused the southside contractor to move on to other work.  The work on the northside moved forwarded and was completed in the fall of 2024.

We were able to work through permitting through the fall and winter of 2024 and the traffic signal adjustments were installed. We looked into opening the north leg at that time but UDOT wouldn't allow the striping to be done in Timpanogos Hwy because it required concrete grinding equipment which is cooled by water. They worried it could freeze and create a hazard. They also worried about the north/south lanes being misaligned by 3 or 4 feet. 

Work on southside road widening was expected to be completed by mid-May and then mid-June and now we're at the end of July. They ran into a difficult issue with a storm drain box and also had difficulties in scheduling subcontractors for such a small project. Contractors tend to prioritize their schedules for their larger projects over the small ones. 

It has been a very difficult project. We are very happy that it is almost complete. We appreciate your understanding.

The portion of Hudson Road that will connect to Redwood will be constructed by the developer. They submitted civil construction plans to the City back in October, but we haven't heard from them since. Because of this, we unfortunately don't have a timeline on when the road will be constructed and opened. 

The portion of 1500 N between Boston St and Redwood Rd is in Saratoga Springs and under their jurisdiction. Our understanding is there was a dispute between Saratoga Springs and the developer who built the road which has resulted in it remaining closed. We don't have any other information about it. 

One reason traffic has gotten worse on 3600 W is because 2300 W is closed for a roadway widening project. A portion of the traffic that was using 2300 W is using 3600 W now. There will be some relief when 2300 W reopens.  We do recognize that traffic volumes are growing outside of the 2300 W closure and are working to make improvements.

There are plans for a traffic signals at Hardman Way 3600 W and at 1500 N 3600 W. The Hardman Way traffic signal will be installed with adjacent development that is currently working through the city for approval. The design of a traffic signal at 1500 N is completed and we are working to obtain needed property on the northeast corner from Rocky Mountain Power.

The Transportation Master Plan (https://www.lehi-ut.gov/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Master_Transportation_Plan_11x17-minor-rev.-Jan-23-2023.pdf) has 3600 W as a Major Arterial which will have 5 lanes (2 northbound, 2 southbound, and a center turn lane). It is primarily being widened piece by piece as adjacent land develops.  We do have plans for some widening to the east between Hardman Way and the Maverik gas station this summer. 

We only know a few of the businesses that are going in in that area. There will be a grocery store going in on the empty field across from the Maverick. There will also be a 7-Eleven on the corner of 3600 West and Waterbury in Holbrook Farms. Other than that we don't know the exact businesses that are going in. The area is zoned Commercial, so we expect some food establishments and retail buildings. 

Lehi and Saratoga Springs have a three-way corridor agreement with UDOT for a new traffic signal at approximately 2900 W on Pioneer Crossing (1/2 mile west of the 2300 W traffic signal). A road connection from that traffic signal will extend into the Jordan Willows subdivision allowing direct access to Pioneer Crossing. The timing of this is driven by when the adjacent land is developed. It should give relief to the traffic you're experiencing on Willow Ln.

There is also an upcoming project to widen 2300 W between Main St and Pioneer Crossing to 5 lanes (2 northbound, 2 southbound, and a center turn lane). This is separate from the current project underway widening 2300 W north of Main St to 2100 N.  This project includes the installation of a traffic signal at 700 S 2300 W. We also expect a future traffic signal at Grays Dr 2300 W, the project will install pole foundations in anticipation of the future traffic signal. A new road heading west from that intersection is planned that could serve traffic from Jordan Willows as well.  This project is expected to start in 2027.

We understand you're in a difficult situation and are sympathetic. Relief is coming and there are plans are in place. We appreciate your patience as we work to bring these improvements into reality.
