The City Forester, Jessica Smith, requests review and recommendation of proposed amendments to Chapter 35 of the Development Code on Community Forestry. Park Staff along with DRC reviewed Chapter 35 of the Development Code and made some minor changes to increase readability, clarify between public and private regulations, and eliminate unnecessary information. The main reasons for changes are for greater consistency and understanding throughout the chapter when it comes to public trees. Reducing the wording in the chapter along with adjusting sections for better clarity and organization to the appropriate sections are also part of the reason for the proposed changes.
