This item received a positive recommendation by the Planning Commission and will go to City Council on September 27th at 7pm. The Planning Commission included in their motion that portable storage containers should be a conditional not a permitted use.

The applicant requests review and recommendation of a proposed change to the Table of Uses to add Portable Storage Containers as a permitted use in the Public Facility zone. The proposed change comes from a request from Public Works to have locations where surplus materials could be ordered and stored due to recent supply chain issues. These storage containers would have minimal impact and the DRC recommended adding text to Chapter 12 of the Development Code to limit the duration that these could be kept on-site at City improvement projects.
