Lehi City is asking to change the Development Code by removing the 25-foot setback requirement for the Neighborhood Commercial zone next to residential areas. Staff noticed that the Commercial zone doesn’t have this setback, even though Commercial uses are often next to residential zones. It seems inconsistent for the Neighborhood Commercial zone, which has less intense uses, to have stricter rules. The change would make the Neighborhood Commercial zone follow the same rules as other zones, including IBC requirements and buffering regulations.
