Consultation has concluded

The applicant wants to change the code to allow Dog Care Facilities in the Neighborhood Commercial Zone and adding Mobile Personal Services to the regulations for food trucks.

The applicant proposes adding Dog Care Facilities as a Conditional Use in the Neighborhood Commercial Zone. Engineering provided a DRC comment encouraging allowing it as a Permitted Use instead of conditional.

Below is engineering’s comment regarding the Dog Care Facilities.

  1. Dog care facilities should be permitted (not conditional) in Commercial, Heavy Commercial, and Light Industrial. It should be permitted in Neighborhood Commercial too because that is the exact type of service that people could use in neighborhoods.

The applicant also proposed adding Mobile Personal Services, with a definition and the same regulations as Food Trucks. They also proposed language that allows Mobile Personal Services and Food Trucks to be stored at an established business.
