The applicant is requesting review and recommendation of the Hardman Corner General Plan Amendment. The proposal is to amend the General Plan land use designation of this property from Commercial to Heavy Commercial. The Heavy Commercial designation is intended to allow warehousing, light manufacturing, and some retail/office uses that do not impact existing and planned residential areas.
The applicant stated in their narrative that this request is being made to allow for flex office/warehouse use on the property, which is not allowed in the commercial zone. The narrative stated that the applicant’s intent is to build 2-3 flex office/warehouse buildings and possible retail pads facing Redwood Road.
