GPA and Zone Change at 975 South 1350 West (LEHI CITY Z-ACT OPEN SPACE)

The applicant is seeking review and recommendation of a proposed general plan amendment and zone change from Very Low Density Residential Agricultural (VLDRA) to an Open Space (OS) land use designation and Public Facility zoning. The property is located at approximately 975 South 1350 West and is approximately 1-acre in size.

The parcel was designated as open space within the Z-Act subdivision plans so this General Plan amendment and zone change is consistent with the plan for the area. Staff feels that the Open Space General Plan designation matches up with the Public Facility zone based on the other parks throughout the City that we have zoned as Public Facility.

The DRC had one comment on the proposed zone change:

1. Application for a General Plan amendment may be combined with an Application for a Zone District Map amendment when the designations for both are proposed to be Public Facility. Staff feels that the Open Space designation correlates with the Public Facility zone.
