Consultation has concluded
The person applying wants to build a hotel called the Ember Hotel and needs permission to change some rules.
The hotel will be on a small piece of land, about the size of a big house, and it will have 20 rooms. The hotel is designed to fit in with the old buildings in the area and will use special materials and plants to keep that historic look.
However, there’s a problem with the parking lot. There are rules about how much space there should be between the parking lot and the nearby plants, but this hotel doesn’t have enough space on two sides. The person applying wants to get special permission to use that space for parking instead of plants. One side has less than eight feet, and the other side has about two feet of space.

This looks like exactly the type of development I might hope for downtown. I recommend approval.
