This item received a positive recommendation by the Planning Commission and will go to City Council on September 27th at 7pm.

The applicant is seeking review and recommendation of a proposed zone change for various City owned properties from R-3 and Mixed-Use to Public Facility located in the Downtown area between 100 E and 100 W from Main Street to 200 North.

This zone change is consistent with the approved General Plan designation of PF for the properties. These properties are either existing public parking lots or being currently constructed. This zone change will also clearly mark on the City Zoning Map that these areas are both currently used as public facilities and included in planned future public areas as part of the Downtown Civic Campus.

I have a home close to the swimming pool, 142 W. 100 N., and the planned zone change. I’m against the proposed zone change. It should remain for residential use only.
