The applicant is asking for approval to operate Curb Cart Concrete, a small concrete business, at 1709 North Boston Street. The business is allowed in the Light Industrial zone, but the Planning Commission can add rules to prevent any negative effects. The site plan shows a small office building with paved parking and mostly gravel around it, which follows the code. The applicant also wants an exception to a rule about how far the building should be from the street, as the building is 90 feet away due to parking and a stormwater retention area. Staff agrees with the exception because the retention pond is needed.
