The Planning Commission provided a positive recommendation to City Council on this item.

The applicant is seeking review and recommendation of a proposed zone change from RA-1 to MU (mixed use) for 0.19 acres located at 57 South 500 West. This zone change is consistent with the approved General Plan designation of MU for the property. The applicant is seeking a zone change as it will allow the existing home to be renovated into a small business office for insurance sales. The use is compatible with the nearby properties and should not bring significant traffic to the area because most of the business is handled online or over the phone.
