- Love the pickleball courts and pump track. - Would love to see a splash pad!!! Draper and Vineyard have great ones. - Would be great if playground could have shade sails, there are no shaded parks nearby. - We have a lot of tot lot type parks with a couple slides and monkey bars. Would be nice to get something different like a zip line, challenge course, different types of swings, etc. - Easy to maintain landscaping. Eagle Summit was a gorgeous park at one point, but apparently is hard to maintain and consequently is not aging well. - Would be cool to have a fun mural on the side of the restrooms/pavilion - I always appreciate having a walking path around the perimeter of the open space.

Love the multiple pickleball areas. Let's go big and do 8 sets instead of 4. Then there's room for people to do tournaments and still space for families to play. Lights at night would be awesome- so many times in the fall/spring it's great weather to play but gets dark early.
My kids would also love swings at the park Love bike area and would love there to be access from nearby bike trails that don't cross traffic or parking lot (ie- kids can bike/walk there and park bike without crossing car path.

If the parking is at the perimeter, the park will feel bigger.

We love this idea! Pump tracks are a popular and healthy way to keep kids, teens and adults of all ages engaged and active. When we go to Saint George, pump tracks are one of the places we make sure to go. It would be AMAZING to have one here!!! I know several teenagers in the middle and high schools are thrilled with this plan already. Which, is a huge win, getting kids off couches and outside instead! Excellent work and kudos to the planners!

Definitely a dog park, preferably large & small separate areas. A splash pad would be wonderful!!

Or perhaps part of the open space could be converted to a dog park. We already have a large open field around the corner at Eagle Summit Park.

I also think a large enclosed off leash dog park incorporated into the plan would be very nice for Traverse Mountain. There are great examples of such dog parks in Herriman, Daybreak, and Draper, and they get great use by the residents. I would prefer this to all the different bike courses. There are many other biking trails in the area, but no dog park.

I would really like to see more native trees and less grass, make more urban parks, have small parks where you can see trees within the city , small green belts

Hello! I’m so excited for the opportunity to have a great green space and park close to home. I live within walking distance of the proposed park and think it will be a great addition and used by a lot of people. I am also a landscape designer and would like to offer my unique perspective about the area. There is a lot of wild life in this area and a major lack of bio diversity. The wind gusts can be very intense, up to 80 mph. A 5 acre swath of scrub oak was pulled out for a development about 1/2 mile away and I think the natural areas of the park on the north facing hills provides a great opportunity to replant this lost resource for wildlife. (Deer, coyote, chuckers, elk, fox, porcupine.) Most maple cultivars suffer from Iron chlorosis on the mountain, but Zelkovas and Honeylocust do well. There are no very large trees within a 10 mile radius of this area on the East side of 1-15. A stand of Kentucky Coffee trees would be a nice addition and offer a much needed wind break. There were some registered historic ones recently proposed to be taken out in Lehi. My husbands relatives have a journal entry that states that when they would travel from SLC to Provo city and would come around the point of the mountain via wagon a hundred and fifty years ago they would picnic in the shade of the trees in the area. It would be great to allow road bikers and others the same benefits of some shade. It would also be a nice historical nod. And help filter dust from the gravel pits nearby. Pickleball courts will be great in this area!! We would love lights on timers to extend play time into the evening and a well lit park would keep the area safe. Also, either wind breaks of evergreens or on the fencing would be nice near the courts. Drinking fountains would get plenty of use as well!
A lot of feedback- but wanted to put in my two cents about a park we are all so excited about!!!

Lehi needs an off leash large enclosed dog park. Many dog owners in the city have to travel far to go to any park of that type. Thank you

We have no parks in our community area with a splash pads. There are tons of kids under 10 who live in our area and it would be awesome to not have to drive 20 min down the street on hot summer days because our pool is over packed

I would love for the playground to be big! It seems like here in Lehi the playgrounds are smaller but there's way more of them. (example of park in our old city that was amazing: https://indywithkids.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Hummel-Park.jpg )
