High Density at "Cornbellys" area at Sycamore Ln and Ashton Blvd
I see that there are 1000 additional ERUs planned for the area where Cornbellys has historically been. Do we imagine that Ashton Blvd will be able to handle the increased traffic here? It doesn't even handle the current level of traffic. I understand that it is zoned as a TOD but in reality the majority of the people who would be living here would not be taking frontrunner for all their transit needs. I feel like planning for this 1000 units is like throwing gasoline on a fire.

Aaron thanks for your comment. There are concerns among City Staff and City Officials about the density as well. Adding housing could provide some opportunities for people to live and work in the Thanksgiving Point area. However, we realize that would not be the case for everyone. Approval of 1,000 ERUs will require a traffic study showing that number of units can be accommodated with the existing infrastructure or with improvements the developer can make. This study must be completed before the units are approved.
