Consultation has concluded
The applicant is requesting to amend the General Plan land use designation of this property from Medium Density Residential to Light Industrial on 2.73-acres located at 501 and 535 North 500 West.
Per the applicant’s narrative, the request for Light Industrial would facilitate the Fox’s being allowed to have additional yard space and the possibility of a future office warehouse building on the property. The applicant feels the request is appropriate because it will provide additional buffer space between the railroad tracks and the nearby residential area.
The Planning Commission should consider the allowed uses in the Light Industrial classification and if the expected use is appropriate on the property.
