This item was tabled by the Planning Commission for Staff to make updates.

Lehi City proposes changes to the bicycle parking requirements. Currently developments have to provide 5% of the required car parking spots for bike parking. Meaning if an office has to provide 100 car parking spots they would need to have 5 bike parking spots. The proposed change will require 5% of the number of provided stalls or number of required, whichever is greater. Sometimes, people decide to provide more than the required number of parking stalls. If the applicant was required to do 100, but put in 120, they would need to provide 6 bicycle parking spots. This will increase the overall number of bicycle parking spots in the City.

Other changes include allowing for a wave style rack (instead of inverted U's) when more than six spots are provided.

It will also require places that provide long-term, indoor parking facilities, to also provide outdoor temporary parking.
