I'm happy to see the plans to continue to expand transportation routes for non-car vehicles. Two things that I am looking for:
1. Ability to get around the city and to get to destinations (notably to shopping & restaurants) which could save a car trip, not just "recreational paths" that don't go anywhere notable or don't connect neighborhoods through popular zones (commercial, parks, etc...).
2. Significant separation from auto traffic, not just a painted line on a busy road with a bike symbol painted on the ground. Completely dedicated bike/pedestrian trails are ideal, but where auto roads are intended as bike/ped routes the use of concrete or other barriers is preferred to painted lines only.
