Consultation has concluded
Staff recommends a Development Code Amendment to Chapter 12, 39, and Table 05-030-B of the Development Code. Specifically, staff recommends the addition of the Liquor Store and Bar use to the Table of Uses to be consistent with Chapter 12 and 39 of the Development Code. Additionally, the Commercial Campgrounds use is being added to the Table of Uses to be consistent with Chapter 39 and the current zoning of Willow Park Campground.
As part of the comprehensive Definitions Chapter update las year and with the recent review and approval of the Lucky Soles Tavern concept, Planning Staff has been reviewing the uses and definitions that facilitate drinking establishments. The Private Club definition was deemed to be more what was envisioned by the Bar use and so part of the Code amendment is to rename Private Club to Bar in Chapters 12 and 39. Additionally, we realized that there were definitions for the Liquor Store and Private Club uses, but that they were not included in the Table of Uses. This Code amendment allows for them as conditional uses in the Heavy Commercial and Light Industrial zones.
We believe this will help clarify the interpretation of the Code by having consistency in terminology and between chapters of the Code.
