Lehi City is proposing to add language that clarifies the uses of the Home Occupation chapter to explicitly allow for athletic instruction. Further, staff also recommends changing the definition of "Child In-Home Instruction" to simply "In-Home Instruction." City staff believes these changes are beneficial as having sports classes within a neighborhood reduces car trips across the city and builds a sense of community. Further, staff does not believe there will be significant impacts on traffic because all other provisions of the Home Occupation chapter must be met, including a limit of 12 patrons an hour, and no more than 2 classes a day.
